It is a beautiful statement. Yes visiting new places, interacting with new people make human more tolerant, humane, broadminded. wish you a many more happy journeys to you.
One of the principal reasons for most people keeping off old Telugu literature — prose as well as poetry — is the lack of good Telugu-Telugu, Telugu-English dictionaries, and easily intelligible books on Telugu grammar and ‘Chandassu’. In contrast, one can get, without any difficulty, a vast range of dictionaries, thesauruses, books on grammar, idiom, and usage in respect of English.
Do we have exhaustive dictionaries comparable to the legendary Oxford English Dictionary in Telugu? ‘Suryaraayaandhra Nighantuvu’, the only one voluminous, if not exhaustive, Telugu Dictionary I have ever come across has been long out of print, and there seems to be no plan to reprint it. (Someone told me once that it is not all that great a dictionary. Perhaps it is not; I do not know. But there seems to have been no attempt to create a better Telugu-Telugu dictionary, either.) Even the other well-known shorter dictionaries need a thorough revision to cater to those of us whose knowledge of Telugu is deplorably shallow.
Similar is the position about books on Telugu grammar and ‘Chandassu’.
Once that hurdle is sorted out, more people would show interest in reading old Telugu literature.
A lack of readable and objective commentaries, not coloured by the prejudices and biases of various sorts on the part of the commentators, on the old works (poetry, in particular) is yet another problem.
Of course, there are other problems like the awful standards relating to teaching any language in schools and colleges, the many distractions that people have today in the form of mobile phones, television and movies, etc. These too need ample attention for concerted remedial action.
It is high time we woke up to preserve our language and literature: the death of a language and its literature kills an entire gamut of traditions and the civilization associated with the traditions.

ఈరోజు ఉదయం నలుగురు సహృదయులు—ఒక చిత్రకారుడు, ఒక కవి, ఒక వ్యాఖ్యాత, ఒక పరోపకారి మా ఇంటికి బాపుని తీసుకువచ్చి ఆయన్ని పరిచయం చేశారు.
వారు వెళ్లిపోయి నాలుగు గంటలయినా నాకళ్ళు ఇంకా చెమరుస్తూనే ఉన్నాయి.
