May we know if there is any silarity between this work and that of the parallel poem in Ramabhydayam [Ayyalaraju Ramabhadrayya]?Do they belong to the same period? Did Molla receive any patronage from the son in law of Aliya Ramayya?
We are imporessed on two grounds. Molla proclaims to be humble in learning and not conersant with the intricacies of grammar and of prosody. But it seems, she cuatiously refrains from cliched templates in laying out the format.
The poser of Guha :
” If your foot fall is notorious of metamorphising a stone into a female. will the timber of by boat safe from transforming into a different material?”
Her ideals as to the practice of the art of poetry, espcailly her opinion on the accptable mothods in tarnsaltion are too radical to the esatblished literary views of the age.If a potic work is to trnaslted from sanskrit into a provincal lanagage, what rationale can a tarnasltor possibly cite to resorting to fill the new work with tatsamas? Why should the same terems be lifted and used by adding nothing more than inflexion to the origuinal term that is lifted for the Sanskrit work?

‘అమ్మా, నిన్ను తాకాలని ఉంది!’ అంటూ జయతి లోహితాక్షన్ చేతుల్ని తన చేతుల్లోకి తీసుకొన్న సంగవరం టీ కొట్టు మనీషి పాదాలకు వినమ్రంపూర్వక వొందనాలు తెలియజేసుకుంటున్నా.
After reading Rama Rao’s beautiful narration, I had to go to the public library to borrow the mystery novel, A Test of Wills. I normally do not read detectives, mysteries, thrillers, and suspense novels. This book is definitely an interesting read.
After I finished reading the novel, I started mulling over the sentence quoted by Rama Rao. I went back and read his narration once more.
If you remove the word, ‘forever,’ at the end of the quote, the sentence would be at best a run-of -the mill sentence. A pale one with no consequence to the entire set up of the book. And, I do not think one could create a whole historical narrative based on it. It is that one lone word, ‘forever,’ makes the sentence the most memorable and powerful sentence, in deed!
“చివర్న క్రియాపదంతో అంతమయ్యేదే సూటైన తెలుగు వాక్యం”
does this qualify?

చాలా మంచి వ్యాస పరంపర మొదలుపెట్టారు. డగ్లస్ హాఫ్స్టాడ్టర్ పుస్తకాల గురించి తప్పకుండా ఈ వ్యాసాలు స్పృశిస్తాయి అనే నా నమ్మకం. ఆయన వ్రాసిన I am a strange loop చదవడం నాకొక పెద్ద అనుభవం. అందుకు నాగరాజుగారికి ధన్యవాదాలు.
