Space and time – దేశము, కాలము వేరువేరు కావు. దేశము లేనిదే కాలములేదు, కాలము లేనిదే దేశము లేదు. ఈ విషయం సహజసిద్ధంగా అంటే ఆక్లిష్టంగా Jonathon Livingston Seagull (Richard Bach) అన్న చిన్న కథ చివరన నిరూపింపబడింది. ఒక seagull – సముద్రపు నీటి పక్షి, ఒక ప్రదేశం నుండి మరొక ప్రదేశానికి ఎంత త్వరగా చేరగలను, అని అంచెలంచెలుగా తదేక దీక్షతో తన వేగం పెంచుతుంటుంది. చరమాంకంలో అసాధ్యమైన వేగంతో పయనించినపుడు తాను అనుకొన్నదే తడవుగా తాను చేరవలసిన ప్రదేశంలోనే ఉన్నానని గుర్తిస్తుంది – అంటే ఒక బిందువుకు, మరొక బిందువుకు మధ్యన ఉన్న దూరం శూన్యం – ఉన్నది సర్వవ్యాప్తమమైన ఒకే బిందువు. ఆ ఎరుక ఉన్నపుడు పయనించే ప్రసక్తే ఉండదు కదా.
దేశకాలములను విడిగా విశ్లేషించాలన్న తపనతో కొందరు పాశ్చాత్య తత్త్వవేత్తలు ఒక భ్రమలో పడిపోయినారు. ఇప్పుడు quantum physics ఈ సత్యానికి దగ్గరలో ఉన్నది.
అకాలాద్వవచ్ఛిన్నము – కాలాద్యనవచ్ఛిన్నము. కాలాది అనడంలో దేశకాలములన్న అర్థం ఉంది. దేశకాలాద్యనవచ్ఛిన్నా – అన్నది, ఆదిమునులు, ద్రష్టలైనవారు దర్శించినది, అద్వైత మూలము.
పైన రాధాకృష్ణ మూర్తిగారు గారు వర్ణించిన ‘అవస్తువు’ కూడా ఈ అనాద్యంతమైన అస్తిత్వమే – మరొక వస్తువు లేదు కనుక అవస్తువైనదని నా భావన.
I did some treks before and thought that once I move out of corporate, I can do more. It was not to be. The fear (“Can I do it?”) slowly crept in, and I could not do any in the past 3 free years. I have to make up my mind and start now.
You got the knack of mixing the societal/personal aspects and your feelings/views along the way in the narration. That makes the narration very readable.
There is a general observation in communication. When you are ending, sum up what you have told. This will help the receivers to retain the points for long. Your one paragraph toward the end did the same. It refreshed the previous installments and reminded me of many things narrated by you there.
We meet many good people (ok, people with good qualities). Remembering them warmly gives a good feeling. Your introducing the support staff felt good.
May you do more such treks and enthrall us all. (Selfishly, may they encourage me to start my adventures.)

The translation was fluid, as if the total narration was done in Telugu only. I read many of your previous books. I met you at the Hyd book festival last year. Your books, both direct and translations, are highly readable. Keep writing and help readers enjoy the thrills of adventures, at least vicariously.

In engineering 35 years back, I studied calculus and for years did not use it for any meaningful purpose. It is very interesting to brush up on it and understand concepts in a different light.
We studied that light behaves as both a wave and a particle (rote learning). Now I understood how the scientists came to that conclusion. Though one does not understand the mathematics, the conclusion flows from two different and great scientific observations by Maxwell and Plank.
I take this series as time travel in science. From the 1500s to the current period. Touching physics, math, sociology, and many more fields. Met many known (to me, by name due to my rote learning) scientists. Read about those great discoveries as passing references back then.
This method of narration gives the reader a unique perspective on how scientific inquiry shaped society over the years.
Felt sad to read about some difficult periods in the lives of great scientists. All lives are a mixture of happiness and sadness.
