The subject of the interview is something very close to the heart of my father, Sri Sangeetha Rao garu. He wrote articles about Vizianagaram. In his unpublished “Chinthaasakthi” he dealt elaborately with many personalities he came across in his life who happened to be the people of Vizianagaram District. Everybody wanted to hear him talk about Vizianagaram, Bobbili, Saluru and the great personalities there. Because it was not just a talk, it was always an extempore Lec-Dem. He has phenomenal memory, which continues to be so even today, and ability to perform the works of those great personalities. The interview will give an inkling of this aspect. I am happy that you had recorded it when you had. I wish you had mentioned the date of the recording too.
A piece of information which I think is not out of place is that my father was not a student of Vizianagaram Maharaja Sangeetha Kalashaala. He had his initiation into music through Sri Akundi Narayana Murthy garu. The blog has more information about the early days of his career.

ఆంగ్ల వర్ణమాల మొదట భారతదేశంలోకి ప్రవేశించినపుడు వదిలివేసిన అక్షరాల గురించి కూడా ఎవరైనా చెపితే బాగుండును.
అలాగే అక్కడ నేర్పబడుతున్న ఇతర భాషల విషయంలో వదిలివేయబడిన అక్షరాల గురించి కూడా.
VERY COMMENDABLE EFFORT. BUT, AS SURESH HIMSELF STATED, NOW ONLY ALPHABET ‘ra’ IS BEING USED even where Bandi-Ra is to be used. As he is aware, the other four letters of telugu varna mala have almost become extinct. But, I believe, those four letters (ru, ruu—–) are not required and it would not make much difference. The author of this article may also deliberate on these four letters in his concluding part of this article.

By 1936 when Sri Ghantasala Garu arrived in Vizianagaram he was already a solo performer and played Harmonium in his katcheries.

ఆఖరి నాలుగు పాదాలలోనూ, మనసులో దాచుకున్న ఎంత బాధను చెప్పగలిగారండీ!
ఇది చాలా గొప్ప కవిత అనడానికి సందేహం లేదు.
కవిత్వానికి ఇంతకంటే వేరే కొలమానాలక్కరలేదు.
