The genealogy and the legacy of the contributors are quite intimidating. I venture to put forward my enjoinder, rather my doubt. It is widely believed that Shastri garu did compose tunes for the songs and the background score for the 1954 Hindi film of Gemini Studios, “Bahut Din Huye”, and was given credit for the same. Could this piece of information authenticated?

దీపాల పిచ్చయ్య రాసిన శ్రీనాధుడి పద్యం భావం చాల బాగుంది. దీన్ని సేకరించి పద్యాన్ని కాపాడుతున్న అందరికి ధన్యవాదాలు. మన తెలుగును మనం కాపాడుకోవడం చాలా అవసరం. ఈ సమయంలో ఇలాంటి పద్యాలు వెలికి తీయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది.
శారద గారు చాలా బాగా అనువదించారు. అసలు నవలని అసలు భాషలో చదివినా ఇంత బాగా అర్థం చేసుకోలేమేమో. మీ అనువాదం వల్ల నేను మనుషుల స్వభావాల్ని కొద్దిగా అర్థం చేసుకోగలిగాను. కృతజ్ఞతలు.

You are very fortunate to have personally interacted with a legend. I request you, and I request the management to see to it that a tribute is paid to Prof. Murray Barnson Emeneau. A brief sketch of the collaborative work done by Professors Thomas Burrow and Emeneau on DED. It would be our humble way of paying our respect to the memory of both the stalwarts.
