Thanks for the information. But I think the prescription does not contain BP, height and weight. From what I know with HIPAA regulations, small items like age and address may be OK but usually not acceptable without consent. That’s the reason Doctor’s office gives all those long forms to sign – sometimes with alarming regularity of every 6 months. When small things like age, BP, height and weight are individually mentioned without connecting to a person they are fine but once they are together – what we call data aggregation – they pose a risk or become personally identifiable information (PII) and are not allowed to be disclosed easily. HIPAA by the way is not an option anyone – including public and medical professionals – can choose. It is a mandatory law, at least in the USA. Either follow it or see you in the court.
Sorry I wanted to type in Telugu but it would take too much time. So here is my 2 cents with what I know about HIPAA and PII. Not bragging here, but yes I was in biomedical research and dealt with PII and HIPAA for a few years. I would like to hear your side of story if you really write BP and other medical conditions on prescriptions.

మనస్సులో ఒక పల్చటి పొరలో తనలో తాను సంభాషించుకున్నట్లు ఉంది. నవీన నాగరికతకు మానసిక రూపురేఖలు దిద్ది కథగా మలచి, అవ్యక్తము కాని చిత్రాన్ని చాలా బాగా చిత్రించడానికి ప్రయత్నించారు. కథ బావుంది. చదువుతూంటే తెలిసిన సన్నిహితురాలి కథ కళ్ళ ముందు ప్రతిబింబించింది.
Tickled pink. The Telugu Bridget Jones, the heckled spinster is bullied, bamboozled into marriage, and Dear God! Is going to have kids. I bet it will be twins. May be triplets. Additional blessings of late pregnancies, fertility drugs, embryo transfers. This pregnant female, (unless she is Beyoncé or Amal) perhaps will be a future visual horror to the fellow workers, even if they may have big beer bellies themselves.
Such a smart ass story. So true.
To Amarendra: Life is not a one liner of encapsulated wisdom at end of a travel essay. Life cannot be what you want it to be. Life is a very complex long journey much of which, you have no control of. (Also I think if you are a passenger in a real cab, you should let your cab driver pay attention to road and traffic, instead of collecting his life history from the back seat and giving him extra tip, if his lifestyle meets your approval.)
To Sarma: Nothing wrong in giving a patient’s sex, D.O.B, current address, weight, blood pressure, etc. on a prescription. All relevant info to pharmacy and pharmacist to safely fill the prescription.
