చాలా మంచి వ్యాసం! భాషాశాస్త్రం ఏమాత్రం తెలీని వాళ్ళకికూడా సులువుగా అర్థమయ్యే విధంగా ఉంది. కేవలం పాపులరిష్టు వ్యాసాలకీ, శాస్త్రప్రమాణం కలిగిన వ్యాసాలకీ ఉన్న వ్యత్యాసాన్ని పాఠకులు, పత్రికల సంపాదకులూ ఈ వ్యాసాన్ని చదివి తెలుసుకోవాలి.
ఒకే ఒక్క మాటతో మాత్రం నేను విభేదిస్తున్నాను, “భాషా చరిత్రలపై ఈ వ్యాసాలు రాస్తున్న చాలామంది ప్రధానంగా సాహిత్యకారులు.” అన్నారు. అలా అనడం సురేష్ గారి ఔదార్యమే తప్ప అందులో సత్యం లేదని నా నమ్మకం.
కధ బావుంది. ఎక్కడా bore కొట్టకుండా మంచి flow maintain చేసారు.మంచి theme. opinion అడిగారు కాబట్టి ఎమన్నా highlight points కానీ suggestions ఇవ్వ దగ్గ points కానీ దొరుకుతాయేమోనని మళ్ళీ చదివాను.

“..ఈమానవుడెవరు చెప్మా? ” – May be this expression is used in a different situation as the tone a causual or relaxed state. It would have been more in-tune with the situation if the expression was in the tone of astonishment mixed or colored with fear.
“..911కి సందేశం ” – Nothing wrong in this but just thinking what would could be the exact translation to the word “message” may be సమాచారం/వర్తమానం/కబురు/ or just మెసేజ్. . I don’t know if we can find proper translation for mobile/computers usage related words.
ఇదంతా చదివితే మా అమ్మమ్మ గారింట్లో గౌరి అనే పనమ్మ గుర్తొంచిందండీ. దాదాపు ఇదే కధ, కాక పోతే ఆమె జీవితాంతం మా అమ్మమ్మ గారి దగ్గరే కుటుంబ సభ్యురాల్లా బతికి పోయింది.
A very good essy. It may be mentioned that lingustic science has enormously helped the development of protein and nucleic acid sequence comparisons. The concept of sequence similarity and building evolutionary trees had its origin in lingustic science. Now this field is far more developed and it is possible to feed back some of the concepts herein to the field of comparative linguistic studies. Again congratulations to the author SrI surES kolichAla.
