The issues with the ‘glorified’ Mafia existed from ages with several directors, name it Sameul fuller , Martin scorsese , Brian DePalma or QT. Whether people appove or not there was and always will be an innate charisma , fascination surrounding ‘Gangsters’ and ‘violence’. There is nothing glorification in it , rather a representation of mixture of realities and fantasies.
I am not sure of what you are hinting about ‘women’ in RGV’s films but I didn’t see any misogynistic tendencies in his films may be a bit bordering on masculinity. There is always, this male gaze in his movies.

ఈ మాట మేగజీన్లో, పాఠకుల అభిప్రాయాల్లో కొన్నాళ్ళ క్రితం జరిగింది ఇదే. పాఠకులు కొందరు -పత్రికలో ప్రచురించిన రచనల కన్నా కొన్నిసార్లు వాటి మీద రాసిన అభిప్రాయాలు ఇంకా సరదాగా ఉన్నాయన్నారు. అది నిజం.
కొత్త ప్రచురణ మీడియంలో అనుకోని లాభాలు మనకు లభిస్తాయి. అవి మనకు అక్కర్లేదా? అనుకోకుండా పెనిసిలిన్ కనిపెడ్తే, అలెక్సాండర్ ఫ్లెమింగ్ -అబ్బే దీని కోసం కాదు నేనీ ఎక్స్పెరిమెంట్ మొదలెట్టింది అని చెప్పి ఆ మందుని తీసికెళ్ళి అవతల పారెయ్యలేదు. సైంటిస్టులూ కోప్పడలేదు. అతనికి నోబెల్ ప్రైజ్ ఇచ్చారు. ఈ మాట ఇప్పటి కొత్త పాఠకులు మరింత తెలివైన వారై, వారి కామెంట్లు, కామెంట్ల మీది కామెంట్ల వల్ల పత్రికలో రాతలు పదునెక్కితే పత్రిక చదివేవారు ఎక్కువవుతారు. రాసే వాళ్ళూ ఇంకా ఆసక్తి కలిగించేలా రాస్తారు.

వీలైతే ఈమాట, కౌముది, ప్రజాకళ, ప్రాణహిత వంటి వెబ్సైట్లలో మీరూ ఇతరులూ చందమామగురించి, కుటుంబరావు గారి గురించి పోస్ట్ చేసిన కథనాలను కూడా ఈ బ్లాగులో చేర్చాలనుకుంటున్నాను. అయితే ఇవి వెబ్ సైట్లు కాబట్టి వాటి సంపాదకులనుంచి ముందస్తు అనుమతి తీసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుందని త్రివిక్రమ్, వేణు గార్లు చెప్పారు. దాంతో ఇంతవరకూ బ్లాగుల్లో వచ్చిన చందమామపై కథనాలను మాత్రమే దీంట్లో పోస్ట్ చేస్తూ వస్తున్నాను. వెబ్సైట్లలో వచ్చిన చందమామ కథనాలను బ్లాగులో పోస్ట్ చేయడానికి మార్గం సూచించగలరు.
మీరు మీ సిస్టం బాగయ్యాక చందమామకు కథలు, కథనాలు పంపుతానని గతంలో చెప్పారు. ఎదురు చూస్తున్నాము. చందమామతో పాఠకుల జ్ఞాపకాల గురించి ఆన్లైన్ చందమామలో “మా చందమామ జ్ఞాపకాలు” పేరిట ఓ విభాగం ఇటీవలే ప్రారంభించాము. మీ చందమామ జ్ఞాపకాలు అందులో రావలసి ఉంది. తప్పక పంపుతారని ఆశిస్తూ.
With a bit of determination, financial, and marketing tricks, certainly a small print Telugu magazine can be run. I know at least one Hindi magazine is brought out in print like that (from Prof. Ram Chaudhari). The issues that affect major US Newspapers/magazines and those that are pertinent to small non-English language publications could be different. After all (there is a Telugu proverb) a storm can damage large banyan tree – but small shrubs and even tall palm trees withstand cyclones and typhoons.
I and many writers always appreciate the views of Rama Bharadwaj. If one has feelings for the death/dearth of inert paper/print – sure, one can have a fountain of welled/swelled feelings for any and all writers who pour out their concentrated labors into any medium.
Its been sometime that I read contemporary Telugu literature. I am not sure how I feel about this story here. I like the way the author started off but I think somewhere in the process he lost what he wanted to convey. Also, I am wondering whether this is something on the lines of the way Jeorge Louis Borges writes. Starting something and leaving it off just like that leaving the responsibility with the reader to finish the story.
Guess its a good effort poorly executed.
లక్ష్మన్నగారి కామెంట్లు చదివితే చాలా ఏళ్ళ క్రితం వయొలిన్ సాధన చెయ్యదలుచుకున్న నా మిత్రుడొకడు గుర్తుకొచ్చాడు. అతను గమకాలు స్పష్టంగా పలికించడం నేర్చుకోవడానికి నన్ను ఒక నౌషాద్ సినిమా పాట పూర్తి వివరాలతో స్వరాల ద్వారా నేర్పమని అడిగాడు. నేను సరేనని అన్నప్పటికీ అది జరగలేదనేది వేరే సంగతి. అయితే మనకు బాగా తెలిసి, ఇష్టపడ్డ సినిమాపాట ద్వారా స్వరాలనూ, రాగాలనూ నేర్చుకోవడం ఒక పద్ధతి అని నేననుకుంటాను. ఇది సంప్రదాయబద్ధంగా నేర్పేవారికి sacrilege అనిపిస్తుందిగాని, కొత్తవారిని భయపెట్టకుండా నెమ్మదిగా శాస్త్రీయసంగీతపు ‘ముగ్గు’లోకి దించడానికి అనువైన పద్ధతి, కొంత అలవాటైన తరవాత “ఈత” దానంతట అదే వస్తుంది. అయితే ఇందుకు హాయిహాయిగా వంటి జటిలమైన పాటలకన్నా సులువైనవే బాగా పనికొస్తాయి.

సువర్ణసుందరిని తమిళములో మణాళనే మంగైయిన్ బాగ్గియం (మగడే మగువ భాగ్యం) అని 1957లో తీశారు. అందులో జెమినీ గణేశన్ నాయకుడు, అంజలి నాయిక. హాయిహాయిగా పాటకు సరిపోయే పాట తేశులావుదే తేన్ మలరాలే … అనే పాట. తంజై రామయ్యదాస్ దీనికి రచయిత. దీనిని ఘంటసాల, సుశీల (జిక్కి కాదు) పాడారు.
