రెండవ అభిప్రాయము చదివిన తరువాత నాకునూ తిలక్ గారి కథలు చదవాలనిపిస్తూంది. చదివిన తరువాత నా అభిప్రాయం తెలుపుతాను. అయితె ఇదే నేను చదివే మొదటి నవల అవుతుంది.
The editors shall be thanked for reminding us about the wonderful works of Devarakonda Balagangadhar Tilak. I read Tilak Kathalu, almost 25 years ago. The one that always remained and will remain in my mind was ‘Addamlo Jinnah.’ Whenever there is an opportunity I tell people about Tilak and this story.
I am unsure whether there is any comparable story to this in entire Telugu Literature. The heights scaled by Tilak is just superb. The whole story appeals to me as the essence of Human History, their tendency to fall prey to divisive forces and to the extent various ‘isms’ divided and dividing the humankind.
No doubt RAVI Sastry and KNY Patanjali written the human tragedies, fallacies, but this story is still a ‘jewel’ in Telugu Literature.
It is worth as a must read story across the globe.
The great guru, Swami Vivekananda once said:
“Man is guided by his stomach. He walks. His stomach goes first. Then his head. Have you not seen that? It takes ages to make the head go first!”

కధ చివరి వరకూ చదివేదాకా భయపడుతూనేవున్నాను శారద, రామారావుని ఎక్కడ పెళ్ళి చేసుకుంటుందోనని. ఆసాంతం చదివాక వీళ్ళకి పెళ్ళి జరగలేదని హాయిగా వుంది. ఆశ్చర్యం ఏమిటంటే, పెద్దవాళ్ళకి పెళ్ళంటూ జరిగుంటే వరసలు మారిపోయేవి అని ఈ కధలో ఏ పాత్రా అనుకోకపోవడమే! అమెరికాలో ఉంటే మాత్రం ఇలాంటివి కూడా అభ్యుదయ ముసుగు వేసుకుంటాయా? కధని నడిపించే విధానంలో కూడా కొన్ని తప్పులున్నాయి. రెండు మాటలు మాట్లాడగానే వనజకి శారద లోతైన మనిషి లాగా కనిపిస్తుంది. అమ్మ యాక్సిడెంటులో చనిపోయిన సంగతి చిన్నపిల్లలకి చెప్పకూడదు (షాక్ అవుతారని కావొచ్చు), పెద్దయ్యాక కూడా దాచడమెందుకు? – భూషణ్
