The latest windows, word, touch screen computers, with key pads – on screen or desktop -wireless mouse etc., offer you multiple language selection. Dictionaries are also built in. That’s what I am using now, even to write in this box – not the writing tool provided by eemaata, any more.
For instance if I had this computer a few weeks back, I could have written the Hindi poem in Hindi, and it would have attempted to correct some of my mistakes.
Although 🙂 just by correcting mistakes, one can not turn every writing, into a ‘good’ writing.
Also, real fast readers don’t even notice spelling mistakes, unless the spelling “mistakes” appear in clusters, and/or in crucial places. Readers don’t really read “letters,” unless they are kinder garden alphabet readers. Material, what it says overall, is what matters to an adult (= not childish, grown up) reader. Except – for dinosaur language show -offs. But I enjoy that bedlam too, like I enjoy Jurassic park.

[You can use any computer, tablet or pad but to properly display ౘ, ౙ గుణింతాలు it must have Windows 8 OS. As we are told by Microsoft, Unicode 5.1 engine has these sequences and the Indic shaping engine in Windows 7 is not updated to that version. This has nothing to do with the writing tool you use. – Ed.]

I have accidentally found the following news item entitled, ‘No Poet’ in an old copy of The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser in one of my friend’s home. Unfortunately, the collector of this paper cutting with the anecdote passed away long time ago. But, he wrote on top of the cutting: Time, 11/21/38.
Here is the news item in its entirety for your edification.

Outside Westminster Abbey, while London police stood guard before locked doors, passersby saw a glint of light through stained-glass windows. Inside the Abbey, from behind a canvass screen in Poets’ Corner, came the clanking of picks. Near the base of Edmund Spenser’s monument grave diggers scooped up sand from beneath the stones, uncovered a lead coffin and evidences that two more bodies had been buried in the same grave.
Reason for this ghoulish hocus-pocus was that a minor Elizabethan historian of doubtful veracity once wrote that when Spenser was buried, a cluster of poets, including Shakespeare, placed poems in their own handwriting in his grave. For 20 years the Baconian Society has been pleading to have the grave examined, arguing that comparison of the handwriting of the poems would prove once &for all that it was Bacon who wrote Shakespeare.
When the stones were taken up, nothing was discovered except that Spenser’s monument rested on somebody else’s bones. Authorities hastily covered the graves, announced firmly that there would be no more digging in Poets’ Corner. –-
Blessed are the Hindus who cremate their dead, poets included!
A fitting tribute to the memory of the multifaceted genius, endowed with a multitude of skills albeit not perfectly balanced with each other, or equally distributed excellence among his the genres he has taken up.
The cadence shifts from rigid tatsama ridden lexicon in those parts dealing with the origins, to fluid colloquial cadence while informing us of the cinematic experiences of P.B. Sreenivas garu.
The mainstream print media cannot help accommodating sketchy, fragmented write ups passing as essays in tribute. The tendency is more so, if the object of the essay happens to be a personality linked to films.
The memorial essay merits to be taken as a learned monograph — authentic, comprehensive, and immensely informative. The flip side is that we were deprived of such a good panegyric as long as the man was alive.
