చాల బాగుంది. నేను వైజ్ఞానిక విషయాలమీద వ్యాసాలు రాసినప్పుడు “ఇదంతా కంచి గరుడ సేవే” అని నన్ను ఆక్షేపించిన వారే ఎక్కువ; ప్రోత్సహించినవాళ్లు తక్కువ. నేనూ కంప్యూటర్ రంగంలో పని చేసిన వాడినే. కాలేజీలో టూరింగ్ మెషీన్ గురించి చదువుకున్న వాడినే. కాని అదే విషయాన్ని తెలుగులో చదువుతూ ఉంటే బాగా అర్థం అయినట్లు అనిపించింది. ఈ అనిపించడం మాతృభాషలో చదవడం వల్ల అనిపించిందో, రచయిత నేర్పు వల్ల అనిపించిందో చెప్పలేను.
అంతే కాదు. రచయిత ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా వాడిన ఎన్నో కొత్త మాటలు, పదబంధాలు ఈ వ్యాసంలో కనిపించేయి. ఇలా నలుగురూ ప్రయత్నం చేస్తేనే కదా భాష పెరిగేది!
I hope you had as much fun writing about it as I had reading it. On somedays when I lose faith in mankind, I look at this subject and marvel at his Godly powers. The long lineage of Church provided me with inspiration for my thesis: https://scholarship.rice.edu/handle/1911/16836 as well.
I loved the genetic introduction to the subject which most people don’t see. They see the final result and do not understand the historical contexts that forced people to ask those questions.
A couple of places that would make is easier for a novice reader, even at the risk of simplification: You could choose two tape version of Turing machine (considerably simpler in explanation). Also, you could summarize the gist occasionally for non math people. Say, using term rewriting (which is what Church proposed). Or perhaps, explain the gist and invite the readers to believe the summary and then launch on to the full explanation for those that seek to understand the details. I think this article is the right one for the masses, if you can keep the novices from getting lost in the details. But, this is all nitpick. This article is marvelous, marvelously succinct, even for the experts, even for those with access to English books.
When I was studying this subject, the whole notion of abstract machine and its relevance in mathematical proofs was very novel to me. I wish I had this article when I was young. I would have become more interested in computers and math!

అద్భుతమైన సమగ్ర వ్యాసం. చాలా సార్లు జాగ్రత్తగా చదివితే నా బోటి వాడికి కొంచెం అయినా అర్థం అవుతుంది. ఆ పనిలో ఉంటాను. వ్యాసకర్తకి పాదాభివందనాలు.
