    #That grammar book also appears to me, as a simplified manual, small in size, written to give guidance to the writers of his time. If it is outdated, update it. Such technical manuals need updating.

    Take cinnaya suri’s grammar -simplify, modify, modernize the rules. Discard and add rules , as you see fit and give us the new Telugu grammar/style book / ‘#telugulO rAyaTamelA?’ anna pustakaM.

    Forgive me for writing in English script as I am not familiar with the Telugu typing.
    Your concern is genuine.
    Though you are looking for a book or a manual that illustrates the rules of speaking and or writing (in other words of Grammar), a similar if not identical book or some sort of manual was brought out by Ranganayakamma garu under the title , ‘vaaDuka bhaaSee raastunnaamaa?’ about 20 years ago and it is being reprinted till today. It is based on ten year data collected from various newspapers, essays and other writings and discussed at length. Some journalists [e.g. Nanduri Ramamohara Rao garu, K.Ramachandra Murthy garu] felt it was very helpful to those who want to write modern colloquial Telugu either in news papers and or other writings.
    If you have already read the book and yet feel the need of a separate grammar book or manual you may kindly ignore this piece of information..

    I think the problem is not lack of a style book in Telugu, but lack of instruction in any kind of writing in any language. Have any of you seen the kind of English writing produced by any of our “English medium” educated graduates? People don’t seem to know even the most basic grammar such as that a sentence should have a subject and verb, Whether in English or Telugu, this requirement doesn’t change.

    Other frequent mistakes I have seen, even in published stories, is a confusion between first person and third person when narrating. That is, a story starts out being written in the first person, but part way through, the author starts referring to the first person character in the third person. E,g: “#nEnu chAlA alasipOyAnu. nIrasaMgA vanakki vAlADu atanu.” #Or “#Ame nirlakshyAniki nAku chAlA kOpaM vachchiMdi. ilA IsaDistE tanakelA uMTuMdi?”

    #And finally, we have the wholesale importation of English verb forms and usages, such as the passive voice (which doesn’t exist in Telugu) — e.g.: “#atanni evarO chaMpAru” anakuMDA, “atanu chaMpabaDDADu” – #or strange imitation of the present progressive tense into Telugu — e.g. “#Ame snAnaM chEsiMdi” anakuMDA, “Ame snAniMchiMdi” anaDaM.

    #Talking of tenses, I have also seen quite a lot of confusion of past, present, and future tenses in published Telugu writings.

    First let us correct these most elementary grammatical errors, and then we can worry about style. Punctuation, paragraphing, and conciseness are second level skills for which the basis is yet lacking.

    But I second the suggestion that Vemuri garu should publish his style book.
