Survey of Popular seesa padyaalu

The following are the results of a survey conducted in the cyberspace on the Popular seesa padyaalu. It didn't originally start with this idea, but I thought I might as well list the results (thus far) of the seesa-survey. I received 21 replies, of which two didn't have any responses, four were not seesa padyas. Of the remaining responses (three of them gave two choices each) the tally is:

pOtana-9, SrInAthuDu-4, and
tikkana, peddana, rAmakRshNuDu, SrISrI - 1 each
Below is list the poems that were mentioned.

The number against each poem is the number of mentions it received. Is it any wonder that MMMMM had that many mentions?

I am not completely sure about the word "amRtAmSulE" in the fourth line.

SrInAthuDu, about himself, before visiting a king, -2
The situation is : After visiting several royal courts, and receiving great
praise, Srinatha was about to enter Singaraya Bhupati's court (I think to
retrievehis own king's family sword which the other has confiscated as a
sign ofvictory); he pauses to pay tribute, and to crave support from Goddess
Saraswathi. The 'candrabhUsha kriya' referred to in the above poem is
supposed to be 'SatAvadhAnam' which Srinatha performed with great success in
Vijayanagaram court. (Thanks to Nasy who provided the context)

SrInAthuDu, in his old days, in handcuffs

Perhaps for lack of patronage, he takes up agriculture, and as luck would
have it, is unsuccessful, and goes into debt. He pilee up a lot of unpaid
taxes, and is found guilty, and is punished by the then king. He is being
taken through the streets, in chains. He is remembering th eold glorious
days, and juxtaposing that with his current condition. (I am not satisfied
with this off-the-cuff description of the context. Will look it up to see
what Arudra says in his SAS)

For those unfamiliar with the play, Bilwamangala, an orthodox scholar somehow
gets into the 'net' of Chintamani, a vESya. Chintamani's mother, Sreehari is
a prototypical leech, asking/demanding money/jewellery from the 'patrons'.
Bilwamangala's friend, Bhawani Sankara, who initially introduces him to
Chintamani, goes broke with these demands, and is declaring his plight thus,
for anyone who cares to hear and learn. (BTW, in Bharani's version of the
movie, the cast was NTR, Bhanumati, SVR as Bhawani Sankara, Relangi as Subbi
Setti - another bloke who goes broke)
